Meet the Principal
I have had the pleasure of being the principal of Wilson ASPIRE School since the fall of 2014.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Special Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, a master’s degree in Education Administration and a certificate of advanced studies obtaining a Special Education Director’s Endorsement from Northern Illinois University. I have been in special education for over 22 years. Before coming to RPS 205, I was a special education teacher for 10 years for a small, rural district in McHenry County. I have been a special education administrator for Rockford Public Schools for 12 years.
My goals for the students at Wilson ASPIRE School are to be able to communicate to the best of their abilities and to increase their independence in daily living, academic and vocational areas so they are better prepared for adulthood when they graduate from school.
Outside of school, I have beautiful twin girls, Cassandra and Ciara. When I am not at Wilson ASPIRE School, I enjoy spending time with my cat, Pita, watching movies, reading books and hanging out with my family and friends!
